The computer scientist and philosopher, Jaron Lanier, has an interesting new article in The Atlantic.
It explores the context of groups in the context of healthy social networking, touches on group identity, but doesn’t really hint at umuntu ngumuntu ngabantu (people are people through other people) or generativity.
I read it as an endorsement of our emphasis on communities / groups, and the ongoing emergence of generative identity, even if it stops short.
